The Main Stage is where Champagne houses open special bottles to share and discuss with you. Sample exclusive and limited-production Champagnes, all scheduled to pop open at the times on the timetable.

Vintage champagnes are a winemaker’s expression of an individual season. Taste Grand Millésime 2004, 2006 and 2012 with David Hargreaves to gain an insight into the art of blending, ageing and the winemakers’ touch.

• 7.15-7.45pm Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2008

Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is only made in the very best years, and released later than Pol Roger’s other vintages. Sample the 2008 in this session, and discover the robust, full-bodied character and relative maturity of this cuvée.

• 8.00-8.30pm Frerejean Frères presents: Deep-sea-aged Cuvée des Hussards 2008 Premier Cru

For the first time in the UK, Frerejean Frères uncorks its vintage Blanc de Blancs aged at 60 meters under the Brittany Sea.
