The history of the Gounel-Lassalle family began at the end of the 19th century in Chigny les Roses, a village in the heart of the mountains of Reims, classified as Premier Cru. Gabriel and Alfred Lassalle bought the first vines to cultivate them.

Today, Arnaud Gounel, a passionate winegrower and wine maker, continues this tradition passed on for four generations to one day pass to his two sons, Leonard and Marius, who will continue to write the history of Champagne Gounel Lassalle. The highly regarded boutique vineyard holdings are labelled as High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3A, sustainable viticulture in Champagne (VDC) extending over 5 hectares spread across 29 individual plots located in the villages of Chigny les Roses, Ludes and Rilly La Montagne; classified as Premier Cru.
